Established as a clinic since 1964, Dr. Chad Kerr, along with his brother Dr. Brock Kerr, purchased Dodge City Veterinary Clinic in 2001 from Dr. Champlin. Family-owned and locally operated, our clinic is the solution to your pet's health care needs.

Dr. Chad Kerr

Dr. Chad Kerr is co-owner of Dodge City Veterinary Clinic in Dodge City, Kansas. Dr. Kerr received his Masters of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University in 1997. He moved to Independence, Kansas as an associate veterinarian for the Independence Animal Hospital until the summer of 2000.

 

Brothers, Dr. Chad and Dr. Brock, both moved to Pratt, Kansas and worked briefly at Eubank Veterinary Hospital. In the fall of 2000, an opportunity opened up to move to Dodge City, Kansas and work with his brother to purchase Dodge City Veterinary Clinic from Dr. Bruce Champlin. In the spring of 2001, Dr. Chad became co-owner of the Dodge City Veterinary Clinic.

 

Dr. Chad grew up in Iola, Kansas and graduated from Iola High School in 1990. Dr. Chad attended Kansas State University for veterinarian school.  He has two boys, Cayden, born in 2001, and Chance, born in 2004. The boys are very active in 4-H, sports, and enjoy helping dad out at the clinic.  Pebbles (Silky) round out the rest of the Kerr family.

Dr. Brock Kerr

Dr. Brock Kerr graduated from Kansas State University Veterinary School in 2000. He purchased the Dodge City Veterinary Clinic in 2001 along with his brother, Dr. Chad Kerr. Dr. Brock specializes in Small Animal Orthopedics, Cow / Calf Herd Management and Equine Theriogenology.

 

He enjoys raising livestock with his three children, Briggs, Brooklynn, Braxton. He has three dogs, Doug (pug), Boogie (Aussie Mix), and Jemma (Aussie Mix). His hobbies include traveling to livestock shows with his family and working on his farm with swine and cattle.

Teresa Konrade - Office Manager

Teresa Konrade began her career at Dodge City Veterinary Clinic in 1983 as a part time receptionist. She moved to Dodge City from Lakin, KS where she was born and raised. She attended school at Lakin and also Garden City Community College. 

 

Teresa married Louie Konrade in 1987 and they have two grown children. Carson will graduate from college with degrees in Health and Human Performance, Exercise Science, and Physical Therapy Assistance. Breanna received her CNA License from Dodge City Community College and is working at an Assisted Living facility in Pratt, KS. We have had many pets over the years, but are currently down to just one cat. I enjoy my job as an office manager and have met many nice people over the years that have become close friends.

Dr. Amanda May

Amanda May grew up South of Offerle, Kansas. She attended undergraduate and veterinary school at Kansas State University and graduated 2010. Following graduation, she returned to Western Kansas and has been practicing here since. Dr. May specializes in exotic and small animal internal medicine.

 

She lives on her family’s farm south of Offerle, with her husband, Jeremy and son, Colt. Hobbies include gardening, sewing, and baking. They have a small cow/calf herd, a herd of barncats, and two dogs, Riley(Chocolate Labrador Retriever) and Mia (Black Labrador Retriever).
